Exhibit Reads: The Arts and the Creation of Mind
Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Discover the power of creativity and learning in our next Exhibit Reads selection, The Arts and the Creation of Mind by renowned educator Elliot W. Eisner. In this inspiring work, Eisner explores how the arts foster imagination, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence skills essential to how we think, learn, and grow.
Presented in conjunction with the 95th Annual Robert T. McKee Student Art Exhibition the nation’s longest running museum sponsored student art show this program celebrates the young artists whose creativity continues to shape our community. Together, we’ll reflect on nearly a century of student expression and consider how art builds minds, confidence, and meaningful connections across generations.
Join us on Saturday, February 28, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM for an engaging discussion on art, learning, and the transformative power of imagination. Copies of the book are available for purchase in the Museum Store.
