Step into Hollywood—without leaving our backyard! Join the Haggin Museum’s Department of Museum Travel for a self-transporting walking tour of the beautiful University of the Pacific campus and discover how its iconic collegiate Gothic architecture became a stand-in for academic settings in films from the 1940s through the 1990s.

Guided by Mike Wurtz, Head of the University of the Pacific Library’s Holt-Atherton Special Collections and Archives, this tour explores the fictional history of the Stockton campus as seen on screen. Mike will take us behind the scenes to reveal how filmmakers transformed Pacific into cinematic magic. The tour includes a visit to the Holt-Atherton Special Collections and Archives for an inside look at rare materials tied to this history.

We’ll conclude the experience with a buffet-style lunch at the River Room, located on the second floor of the DeRosa University Center, offering scenic views of the Calaveras River.
